Eastern Region

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the rate of employed population was 63.1%, where the rate of female employees was 34.4% for Saudis and 33.0% for Non-Saudis, while the rate of male employees was 67.9% for Saudis and 95.5% for Non-Saudis.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the unemployment rate reached 3.2%. Differentiating by gender, female unemployment was 10.9% for Saudis and 3.1% for Non-Saudis, while male unemployment was 3.7% for Saudis and 0.3% for Non-Saudis.

The total population registered in Eastern Region in 2022 was 5,125,254 people, where 36.2% were females and 63.8% were males.
